Customer Reviews: Still really, really scary!!! I just bought the DVD version of Undying because I sold my first game.
So,I installed it,but found it wouldn’t run using XP,so I used the compatibility mode thing and am running it on Windows98. Works great.
Now,for the scared-silly part: This is the creepiest game I have ever played. The music, soundFX,visuals and especially those nasty howlers are absolutely perfect for inducing fear.I jumped out of my skin a few times when the howlers were after me,just like I did when I played it in 2001. Then there is the underground place overrun with skeletons. For some reason, maybe because of the atmosphere of creepiness that runs in high-gear throughout the game, the monsters in this game are so much more terrifying than any other game of its ilk that I have played. I suppose it’s also the way they sound,or breathe,or surprise you at every turn.
Anyway..if you love being scared silly, this is the game for you.
Best Game Ever! Scariest, Wildest, Graphics Perfection Not only is this the scariest game I have ever played, it might also be the most amazing game I have every played. Its got the whole deal: playability, variety, environment, challenge, graphics, acting (believe it or not), and scare-factor. This game continued to surprise and scare me until the last level, which was highly creative, but a little thematically incongruent with the rest of the game, but brilliant design and graphics, all the same.
The graphics detail continually amazes me, and this game is about 6 years old!
Very interesting plot, which almost unpredictable.
This game is scary as hell!
This game also scores high in the “get evil” category. Towards the end, your character is running around with a magic sythe that can decapitate two or three monsters at once, and an attack spell that summons a shrieking flaming skull from out of the ground, and when released, the skull laughs hysterically as it shoots across the room and explodes on contact. This game is fairly nuts/distrubed/twisted/bent/”completely sideways”.
Spooky and original. Well, based on the story alone this game is worth getting.
Despite the now dated graphics, it is still a far better game than the newer Clive Barkers “Jericho”.
Although both games share a few familiar elements, like the main character being able to use magic and also having some skill with conventional weapons.
This is a seriously under-rated game and should not be overlooked by anyone who wants to try something new and get freaked out at the same time.
I highly recommend this to both survival horror fans and FPS shooter fans alike.
The only downside is that some people may have trouble running this on some newer PC systems.

Noise-canceling microphone
In-line volume and mute controls
Customer Reviews: Simply useless if you can’t wear it I was shocked to find that Logitech, a name I normally trust for peripherals, had created something as sloppily-designed as this headset.
First, the fit was just plain atrocious. It was insanely uncomfortable, yet felt ready to fall off at any time. The other reviewer who said this was right on. (And yes, I had them on the right way!…)
The sound was passable, but nothing near what I expected with the “Gaming Headset” moniker attached liberally to the packaging.
Sadly, the only decent thing about it was how easy the return process was. Avoid at all costs if you wear glasses, and try to stay away even if you don’t. Your ears will thank you.
You know you failed if your product needs duct tape right out of the box I received this gaming headset for free by attending a course, and when I got it I was amused at the concept of a gaming headset. It took me 5-7 minutes to get out of the packaging, and then you have to adjust the mic. Unfortunately, after you adjust the mic, you have to put on the logitech label to secure it. I couldn’t get it on, so I had to use duct tape.
Once I put it on, it felt flimsy and uncomfortable, like it was constantly about to fall off. I reached for the mic to try and adjust it and the mic BROKE OFF. I threw the thing in the trash, it’s totally worthless. I didn’t even pay for it and I still feel ripped off. Dont buy this piece of junk.
Save your money I’ve noticed a consistant trend with Logitech products. If you buy their cheap/low end goods, you wind up with a pretty horrible product, whereas if you spend more money on one of their more expensive products, you usually get something great.
These headphones are definitely on their low end of things, and they fail to deliver. The 25$ you’ll spend on these is 25$ too much. You will find you have wasted both money AND time ordering, waiting, and ultimately returning these.
Here are the ups and downs:
Pros: Almost none. The sound isn’t completely horrible with these, but mind you, it’s only passable. The cord is nice and long, and the remote built in to the cord is handy.
Cons: Horrible fit. These have a really poor ergonomic design, and I can’t imagine them being comfortable for anyone. They feel as though they are constantly slipping off, and they provide poor ear coverage. There is nothing immersive about the sound or feel with these. The poor fit introduces pressure points on the ears and skull which quickly turn painful.
Normally, these comfort issues would prove problematic, except these headphones won’t work long enough for you to worry about it. The microphone, I believe, has a manufacturing flaw which prevents a solid connection, rendering a staticy, unusable signal. The fact that the microphone is broken fresh out of the box is problematic. I experienced this on 2 different units. Occasionally it will work, only to quit working on a whim. I spent several hours tweaking system settings, only to realize and accept that the headphones were the sole problem, and that it was a manufacturing flaw.
In summation, these headphones are horribly uncomfortable and will most likely be broken within the first day (usually, straight out of the box). They are NOT worth 30, 20, or even 5$, as they don’t work. Spend your money on a better pair. I’m sure Logitech makes some nice higher end headphones, but these are NOT worth your time or money.
Pros and Cons These headphones are difficult to explain, especially when I hear a lot of complaints about them. It really depends on who you buy them from, perhaps.
Pros: The sound quality is great, the headset/microphone quality is smooth and my friends on Ventrilo can hear a big difference (better). Perhaps it’s not as good as the top-of-the-line headphones, but for the price, it’s absolutely worth it (I got mine refurbished). The headphones themselves are fairly comfortable for a while and they fit most ears. Your ears may feel a bit warm after wearing them for hours.
Cons: Okay, so I’ve had these headphones for some months now and they worked perfectly. Just recently, they started to break apart. Yes, break apart. The foam padding fell apart, followed by the microphone side, revealing all of the cords. I have to pop them back into place on a daily basis which takes about 5-10 minutes because it’s very frustrating and complicated.
Overall, I suggest this item if you’re a fairly active gamer, but they might disappoint some people.
Sound quality: 4/5
Microphone quality: 4/5
Durability: 2/5
Comfort: 3/5
put your head in a vice I’ve been using this headset for about 3 months and I can’t stand it. The wrap around your neck puts pressure on your ears and is not comfortable. The ear cups are so large, you won’t be able to wear glasses with this set on unless you rest the temples on the top of the earpiece instead of on your ear.
The sound is ok and I like the volume control. I’d look elsewhere for a new headset.

Customer Reviews: Classic Old but not aging, this classic is still my number one go to game. For turn-based strategy fans only. Almost as rich as its sister Civilization it plays much more quickly and the factions are more varied and fun.
The port to Mac by Aspyr is a model of how it should be done graphically, but there are definite problems to be overcome with OSX. Fortunately the game comes with OSX installer software that is easy to use. Using window-mode (not full screen) the game plays faultlessly, though missing some interesting but inessentiial graphics. (In full screen mode it falls over all the time).
Don’t go near it if you value your job, your relationships or food and drink. Deeply addictive, highly satisfying. A golden great.
Brilliant yet boring? I think Sid Meier games are fantastic, and honestly, I like Alpha Centauri more than Civ 2. Like the Civs, your goal is to nurture a complex civilization that dominates the world by political, military, economic, or scientific means, facing the strategic tradeoff between outward expansion and inward development. The technology tree is really outstanding, not just for the fun of the new, totally customizable military hardware you can build but because of how they really do seem like plausible advances for a future society-truly mind-blowing. The interaction of the human factions with Planet itself forms a very interesting dimension-do you essentially declare ecological war on Planet (and face its semi-sentient response), or do you try to cooperate with it in search of global dominance? Each faction is truly unique in its strengths and weaknesses and in the way the AI uses it as your opponent. And the diplomatic dimension, while not brilliant, is adequate.
However, it does suffer the same problems as the Civs. It is so detailed, it is easy, especially if you’re an automation-eschewing perfectionist like me, to get bogged down in the details. Furthermore, like the others, you get to a point in the game in which the winning faction becomes a foregone conclusion. If that faction is yours, you have a choice. Do you keep playing for many hours to actually see it through (keeping in mind that the further the game goes the more complex it gets, which takes yet more real-life minutes per turn), or do you drop the boredom and start a new game? I’ve usually done the latter, which means, I’m sure, that there are many more cool technologies that I have not witnessed because there’s scant motivation to take it that far. And also, the ceaseless red earth, blue water, and black displays hurt the eyes after a while.
great I wrote the wrong review of Master of Orion II; I’ll need to fix that as soon as possible. This game is better than Master of Orion II — constantly changing yet requiring some planning. I like strategy games but I hate the ones the ones that require so much backtracking and micromanaging. This one can be fun just running around exploring or you can get very political. I prefer to be the Spartans because they get off to a faster start with their exploration vehicles and are frankly fairly flexible in terms of research.
This is a computer game worth getting I admit that I have never played any of the Civilization games, so I don’t know if this is big step down, or not. What I do know is that this is a great game, and I love playing it. The plot is that there is something wrong with the plant Earth, so a colonization ship is sent out to find themselves a new planet. Something goes wrong and the captain is killed and the survivors split into 7 factions that land on the surface of a plant in the Alpha Centuri system. The factions then battle for the dominance of the planet. You get to pick to be the leader of one of the factions, and then it is up to you to lead you faction to victory. You build cities and discover new technology. The graphics are good and this is a great strategy game. I would recommend it to anyone.
Of the Sid Meier games…. the worst Get one of the other games Sid Meier made before this one. Civilization is MUCH better. THIS game takes everything from Civilization and dumbs it down. Most of the stuff is exactly the same, except they gave new names for them (future names). Wow. you guys are inventive. Instead of having around 12 races you can choose from in civilization, you get 9. All are extremely predictable, even the shuffling of character types does nothing. They should of had it shuffle several basic traits in the characters, not just their pictures. If you run into the religious zealot, no matter what the picture or name, you know how they are going to react to everything. They are just too predictable. Also, the game takes about a month of gaming to finnish, and at that point you want to stuff it in a box and never look at it again. I gave mine away after several started games, and 2 finished ones. I say again: get Civilization instead. It’s a shame they don’t make many good Turn based strategy games.

Features bright colors and simple rules; ideal for ages 5 and up
Game ends when one person places all their pieces, or when there are no possible moves
Includes 400-piece game board with raised edges, 84 colored playing pieces, and instruction guide
Customer Reviews: Blokus - A Great Game For The Whole Family This is a great game for kids to hone their spacial relationship understanding and reasoning skills, and equally as fun for adults to strategize moves against their oponents in hopes of blocking as many pieces as possible from being laid down on the board. Game is missing a warning sticker…Caution: Blokus Is Addictive.
Lot’s of fun. Quick 20-30 minute games. Definitely recommend.
A simple, fun game. This is one of the few games I like to play with my sons that do not involve complicated written rules. The only glitch we encountered was that we already lost one game piece and could not get a replacement. Not a big deal after I just made a paper piece to replace the plastic one.
Great vacation family game I bought this game to take on our lake vacation. I played online a few times to get the feel of it and that convinced me that the kids would like it. It was the hit of the trip, especially because we had more rain than usual. Every age enjoyed it and there were always enough people wanting to play. (It is best played by 4 players.) Ages 9 through 60 all played together and everyone had a good time. I was in fear of losing the pieces and so used 4 ziplock bags to hold them. I drilled the kids on counting before they started, which helped since they understood the need for everyone to have the same number. We made it through 2 weeks without losing any.
Challenging Family Game for Everyone We’ve had this game for a few years now. It’s still a family favorite. If you like Othello or Tetris, you are sure to love this game. We usually play with three people and take turns on who lays down a tile for the forth color. It works great and adds to everyone’s strategy. My husband is not a big fan of board games, but enjoys this one. It doesn’t require any reading, so a child who is a pre-reader can join in. I also like the fact that the rules aren’t complicated. You can learn as you go.
Fun Game Fun game for children or adults. We pulled it out during a rainy evening at the lake and the four of us had an enjoyable fun filled evening

Customer Reviews: The Kids (Next Door) Are All Right Compared to “Operation: S.O.D.A.” for Game Boy Advance, “Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E.” is really cool.
Oddly rated “E10+”, it has very smooth gameplay, terrific graphics, and lots of great unlockables via secret codes and other “special” ways in the game. What’s really neat is that I get to see a lot of the characters in a 3-D form; just like in “Ed, Edd, & Eddy: The Mis-EDventures”.
In this game, you play as the KND operatives from Numbuhs One through Five battling every villainous villain known to these intrepid children. Not only you can get and utilize various 2×4 technology weapons like in the show, you get the other aformentioned unlockables including swell cut scenes, concept art, sneak peeks of the KND Trading Card Game, costume options for each character, boss simulations, and weapon upgrades. The key to getting these options in the “Top Secret” portion in the game is to collect enough Rainbow Monkeys and performing “special” feats in each and every level.
I like how they rendered it all together from the original show design to the authentic voiceovers from the show. It almost seems you’re really watching the show itself. Apart from the somewhat brutal fighting agaist the minions and the high-flying shooter levels featuring Numbuh Two, this is one Cartoon Network game to have. That and the Eds’ game, too.
No matter what console system you have, this is one game to own. And if that’s not enough, an upcoming Kids Next Door DVD has some very useful secret codes for this game. Keep your eyes open for even more useful codes for the game. I know I will.
